Grandma Ruby's Brown Sugar Candy


3 cups brown sugar

1 cup sour cream

1 cup chopped black walnuts

1/4 cup butter

1 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt


Combine the sugar and sour cream and cook to 240 degrees or soft ball stage. Remove from heat, add a pinch of salt and the butter. Beat until mixture begins to grain. Stir in the vanilla and the nuts and pour into a buttered 8x8 pan.
